Craftsmanship

Every chess piece is individually hand-carved before receiving its distinctive Flame & Frost painted finish. The combination of distressed boxwood, ebonized wood, and hand-applied detailing creates subtle variations that give each set its own unique appearance while preserving the timeless proportions of the Staunton pattern.

The accompanying chess board is handcrafted from solid Sheesham and Maple, with carefully matched wood grain, a smooth polished finish, and tournament-sized proportions that complement the 4.37” king perfectly. The traditional Indian notation adds both functionality and a classic finishing touch.

Together, they create a complete luxury chess set that is equally suited for competitive play, display, or gifting.

Craftsmanship Disclaimer

Because every chess piece and board is handcrafted, slight variations in wood grain, painted finish, color, dimensions (up to 4–5%), and weight (up to 10%) are natural characteristics of artisan craftsmanship. These variations are not defects—they are part of what makes every Flame and Frost Artist Hand Painted Luxury Chess Set unique.
